Alright, so not a whole lot of crazy stuff has happened since my last post, but I guess I'll write one last post before the weekend activities start. I managed a new personal best run Thursday...18 minutes and 20 seconds. I've had a couple bowls of Bolivian cereal. It's really natural and consists of puffed rice and wheat. You add the sugar yourself, which seemed weird to me for about a half a second until I realized that the cereal I'm used to consists of about 95% sugar.
Other delicious meals:
Monica made chicken with bacon woven inside of it for dinner Thursday. It blew my mind and I still don't understand how the bacon got in there. Lunch Thursday was at a place called Charlie Papas. I had the MonteCristo sandwich. Stacks of ham, chicken, and cheese with a sweet raspberry sauce that seriously tasted like candy but somehow went amazingly with the sandwich. Today we ate at Dumbo's (yes just like the flying elephant) and I had Silpancho, which is like a huge, thin piece of meat with sunny-side up eggs on top with rice and potatoes underneath. Pretty good but a huge meal. Then I got mint chocolate gelato at another place. Tonight's dinner was pasta with beef and vegetables. I developed a surprisingly effective way of completely neutralizing the presence of broccoli when it's in your mouth. First, get lots of pasta on your fork, then some broccoli, then meat. It's the next best thing to buckets of general tso's sauce when it comes to covering up the nastiness that is broccoli.
Tonight we also went to Lucia's kindergarten graduation. I met her teacher, who is actually from northeast Indiana. They apparently have two teachers at the school from around Cleveland too. Small world.
I finally got some Bolivianos too. 6.93 to 1 exchange rates are awesome.
fronts and backs of hundreds and twenties plus a 5 Boliviano coin.
This is my first attempt at getting a picture of my German Sheppard, Jack. He decided to jump on me instead.
After he settled down a bit.
And this is Agusto, my other German Sheppard while I'm here.
The cat, Lupe, might get a picture when she starts being nicer.
Oh I tried welding too. I kinda sucked at first and put a hole through a thin piece of sheet metal but I had a moment of redemption later.......on some metal we weren't using because we didn't want me to ruin anything else.
